Perchlorate Treatment Technologies: Environmental Media Targeted(May Include More than One Target Media per Case Study)The chart below displays, for case studies of all scales, the environmental media targeted by the projects, identified from our sources of information. More than one target medium may be indicated for an individual project. Perchlorate-contaminated water or wastewater streams was targeted in approximately 30 (44% of 69) projects, approximately 25 responses (36% of 69), targeted groundwater contamination, approximately 9 (13% of 69) responses targeted soil contamination only (where soil contamination is limited to the vadose zone), and an additional 4 (6% of 69) projects targeted both soil and groundwater.  |
